How to give a radio report to the hospital

EMS (NREMT)

A good radio report is short and gives the hospital what it needs to get ready.

Step by step

  1. Identify

    Unit and destination. [1]

  2. ETA

    Arrival time. [1]

  3. Patient

    Age, sex, chief complaint (no names on the radio). [1]

  4. Findings

    Key history, exam, vital signs. [1]

  5. Treatment

    What you did and the response. [1]

  6. Requests

    Orders or questions; repeat back orders. [1]
