Each diorama has coins scattered everywhere, on the ground, on platforms, hidden on top of stalactites. All coins collected by any player add to a shared group counter.
When the group reaches 100 coins, the race begins. But watch out, the coins you collect also count separately.
The more you gather, the better your starting position in the tower, giving you an advantage to get the gem.
Plus, every coin you collect in competitive matches accumulates in your account as Coins, the in-game currency you can spend on Talents to improve your character.
Each era has a magic gem. To claim it you need to get there first.
Getting the gem unlocks the next era of the game.
But that's not the only way to advance, if you accumulate 1000 competitive coins in the same era you also unlock the next level, even without the gem.
Two paths, same destination.
When the group reaches 100 coins, everything changes. All players spawn in the race zone, ranked by how many coins each one collected.
The one who collected the most spawns higher up, the one who collected the least spawns lower down.
From there it's a free race to the gem, first one to reach it takes it.
The Coins you earn by playing can be spent on improving your character.
There are five independent talents you can upgrade in any order you want: Jump Height, Speed, Ability Power, Bubble Charges and Throw Range.
Each level costs more than the last.
All players have access to the same talents regardless of whether they bought the game or not, Coins can only be earned by playing.
Spend them any time at the shop vendor.
When a player maxes out all talents they can activate Legacy, a voluntary reset that brings all talents back to zero in exchange for an exclusive avatar and a permanent coin multiplier.
The multiplier makes every match more rewarding, and Legacy avatars are the rarest skins in the game.
